Co-Founders Russ Hallberg and Randy Haug along with six employees, opened the doors to LTi Technology Solutions (LTi), formerly LeaseTeam, Inc. in Downtown Omaha in 1989. Russ and Randy purchased LeasePlus™, a back-end lease and loan portfolio management system, and launched the business with six employees to service the US market.

LeasePlus™ became the first Windows-based application for the equipment finance industry.  LeasePlus™’ innovation allowed users to perform accounting and servicing activities for a transaction. In 2000 LeaseTeam made a key strategic acquisition with Novametric, the author of Lease Sales Manager (LSM), a front-end lease and loan origination system that allowed users to process applications through the credit, documentation and funding stages of a transaction and integrated the functionality of Lease Sales Manager with LeasePlus™.

Leveraging the complimentary functionality of Lease Sales Manager with LeasePlus™ allowed LTi to successfully integrate and deliver a comprehensive lease and loan solution to the equipment finance marketplace.

In 2006, inspired by research indicating that companies that transition to ESOP grow faster and have employees that are more satisfied and more involved with their community, LTi established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that enabled employees to own shares in the company as the company’s success translated into financial rewards. The same year, LTi redesigned its products to create a comprehensive equipment finance platform under a project nicknamed “Project Phoenix.” The project’s vision was to empower users to effectively scale their business by streamlining the total lease and loan transaction lifecycle.

LTi’s design team used an innovative approach to the software development. They immersed themselves in their clients businesses by collaborating with clients to identify key challenges and engineer unique solutions. By 2009 the project was completed and launched as ASPIRE®. ASPIRE® is a robust, flexible, and highly-configurable platform that features the best of legacy LTi’s technology products into one comprehensive equipment finance platform. ASPIRE® combines the front-end solution Lease Sales Manager and back-end solution LeasePlus® into one powerful technology solution. ASPIRE®’s versatile architecture accommodates all types and sizes of equipment finance companies.

In 2014, LTi expanded operations internationally with the establishment of a UK office.

Today, LTi continues to deliver best in class software and services to equipment finance companies throughout North America and the United Kingdom with a commitment to clients and helping them achieve their business goals.
