Our Story

Who We Are

LTi Technology Solutions, formerly LeaseTeam, Inc. opened its doors in Downtown Omaha in 1989 with six employees by Co-Founders Russ Hallberg and Randy Haug after purchasing LeasePlus (L+) – a back-end lease and loan portfolio management system. LeasePlus allowed users to perform accounting and servicing activities for a transaction. After beginning with an early mid-range computer solution in LeasePlus, the company successfully launched the first Windows-based application for the equipment finance industry in 1992. At the turn of the century, LTi purchased Novametric, the author of Lease Sales Manager (LSM) – a front-end lease and loan origination system allowing users to process applications through the credit, documentation, and funding stages of a transaction. Leveraging the complementary functionality of Lease Sales Manager and LeasePlus allowed LTi to successfully integrate and deliver an end-to-end solution to the equipment finance marketplace.

In 2006, LTi elected to rewrite its Lease Sales Manager and LeasePlus products from scratch to create a comprehensive equipment finance platform. It would empower users to effectively scale their business by streamlining the total lease and loan transaction lifecycle. Russ and Randy believed an end-to-end solution was the way of the future. In April of 2006, the Phoenix Project was born, ushering in the dawn of a new era for LTi, its customers, and the equipment finance industry as a whole.

With Russ at the reigns, the Phoenix Project encompassed the ground-up rewrite of Lease Sales Manager and LeasePlus into a single platform and database utilizing the latest Microsoft technology. By 2009, the product of the Phoenix Project was dubbed ASPIRE. Robust, flexible, and highly-configurable, ASPIRE combines the best of both worlds from LTi’s legacy technology products – front-end solution Lease Sales Manager and back-end solution LeasePlus – into a comprehensive equipment finance platform. Its versatile architecture accommodates all types and sizes of equipment finance companies.

Today, LTi continues to deliver software and services to equipment and asset finance companies throughout North America and the UK. LTi has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America from 2015-2017, and were honored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce with the “2018 Business Excellence Award in Innovation.”
