Omaha Named No.2 Best Cities for Renters 2021

Recently, Forbes Advisor ranked Omaha, Nebraska as No. 2 best cities for renters to live. Omaha often appears on the top 10 best places to live for affordable cost of living, entertainment, and high-quality job amenities. With renters migrating largely to Midwestern cities, it seems cities such as New York are losing its appeal. Many Midwestern cities, such as Omaha, are typically more affordable than traditional “hot spots” like New York City. An analysis of aggregated smartphone data found hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers leaving the city in 2020.

When the pandemic hit last year, it sped up the new normal of being able to work from home full time. People realized they could get a lot more for their money in a smaller city while enjoying similar opportunities. As LTi’s corporate headquarters is located in Omaha, today we explore the features that make Omaha a great city for professionals to live and work.
